About us

The Automatic Exchange of Information is applicable as of the first January 2017.

The Automatic Exchange of Information (AEI) is a tax standard which has been developed and published by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). It governs the transmission of information of bank accounts and foreign deposits of the taxpayers concerned to the tax authorities of the participating countries.

The AEI standard requires banks to collect data and documentation relevant to the tax residence for both new and existing clients. These requirements are pertinent to individual clients as well as entities (e.g. corporations, trusts, etc.). Based on these enhanced due diligence procedures, clients are required to provide banks with specific information and documentation which will allow to establish their status for the purposes of the AEI.

Currently more than 100 countries have decided to adopt the common standard. Switzerland has reached an agreement which obliges our country to provide the information mentioned on the following list (jurisdiction subject to declaration) and applicable as of the 1st January 2017:
